He has finally been indicted. Think the University of Tennessee Knoxville will kick him out of school if he's found guilty?

Nah, he'll just have to serve a 5 game suspension!

If he goes to prison for 5yrs (like the DA's charges are aimed at) I think it'll be a moot point.

ahhh, be nice smokymtngal, your talking about family. Did you not see the interview, saying he had learned his lesson. Give the coach credit. If he had been totally dismissed and released, the dui situation could have gotten worse, so maybe this has made him change. Let hope so, besides, the team needs some sort of boost.

Ah, I was being nice. Plus I did a big grin . Seriously though, I believe that this made 6 alcohol related violations for this one UT student. (could be 5 to be fair) I don't endorse what the kid did with the email but the question was what will UT do? They don't exactly have a great track record. Well, at least with certain programs that is. Alcohol violations kill people.

It will be interesting to see if this student is made an "example" of or not. If he receives jail time or not. With his dad in the position he is, as well as being Democrat, this will be interesting.

I think he should get some jail time and a stiff fine but I also think he should be kicked out of school. And then when Congress is finished naming the latest Post Office, maybe they should catch up with technology laws that match the treatment of opening someone's paper mail.

Had I pulled such a stunt my parents would have already picked me up from college and had me in a military academy after I made a personal and public apology. That would have been for starters. Of course, I lived and still live, in fear of disappointing my parents.

agreed smokymtngal, drinking is a major problem for way too many, but do hope he has learned another lesson, especially with so many chances given. Politics is a wierd thing, so who knows, what type of punishment will be best. I agree that the parents should handle, and hopefully the punishment will fit the crime.
