Hik, sorry this has been so stressful on you.
You know how to get a hold of me if you need me. We're all rooting for you, you can get through it, we know you can!
Count me in for the party and SMG, I will be first in line for Margaretta!

And, what a party it will be!! Hiknapster in her own house. I'll call the Knoxville News tomorrow! I think I heard that Lintons caters housewarming parties.

I'd be happy to tell you and everyone else that I will be moving to 37912.

I can send you the MLS listing. Anyone else that wants to see the listing, just DM me and I will send it to you.

So how the heck do you throw a housewarming party? What do you do? First-time homebuyers do not know these things!

Hey there-

Congratulations on your new home! That must be such a relief. And what a great time to be a first time buyer :-) (nice prices and mortgage rates)

Please do share your housewarming tips. While we have held new home parties before, I'm not sure what folks do around here. We just bought our current place a month ago, so hopefully it is not "too late"! We needed to do a bunch of work on the house before unpacking, so I feel behind in being social :-)

The secret is to set up a bar and corral a heavy-handed friend into tending it. (Paging SMG...)

Amazing how little has changed since college.

Seriously, you just need the Three Fs-- Food, Friends and Fun Tunes-- and you are ready to par-tay. People will be so happy to help you celebrate, they won't care about furniture, etc. Look at it this way, all those unpacked boxes make handy dandy chairs (and if you're lacking anything, you can just say it's still packed)!

Plus, good friends who want to take the load off of you bring something tasty for everyone to eat with them!! You just sit back and enjoy - it's your day!
