Hey everyone. Can I ask you all a favor? We are looking to post as many 4th of July Celebrations as possible for our group that live in diffirent areas of East Tn. Can you guys let us know where there at and or who usually does them and whether they are worth it or not (short description).

So far we have gatlinburgs, Pigeon Forge's, and knoxville at World fair Park. Where else are they? Morristown, Sevierville, Oak Ridge, New market, etc.......

Thanks Bunches!

Roane County has a killer celebration in Kingston, called "Smokin' the Water" with live bands, fireworks over Watts Bar Lake, drag boat races...

Roane Tourism - 4th of July Celebration

I read in the paper they're trying to get volunteers to make a human flag...they're going to spraypaint people red, white, or blue, and have them lie out in flag formation and (I assume) photograph from above somehow. It's a local artist who wants to do it, and it's contingent upon him getting funding for the project.

Rogersville has a HUGE event every year with usually a head liner country star that puts on a free concert and then a 45 plus minute fire works display that is fantastic! They have all day shows and attractions for the kids, lots of food vendors and so forth.

Johnson City's show (featuring live music and a fair-esque food selection) is at Freedom Hall.

Greeneville generally has fireworks around the fairgrounds or maybe at Pioneer Park, depending if the Astros have a home game that night.

This is where I would like to be for 4th of July:

Kingsport, Tn - why?

SOUTHERN CULTURE ON THE SKIDS will be there!
I will be in Picayune, MS - trying to piece together a business plan.

But whatever you do, remember:
1. sunblock
2. hat
3. water
4. HAVE FUN!
