My son will be 10 months old soon, and for his first Christmas I really want to find a good Santa for his picture. Can anyone recommend someplace that typically has a good authentic looking Santa? Something a bit better than a Polaroid in a cheap card type thing I would probably get at a mall.

So far someone at work mentioned Fantasy of Trees. Any other suggestions?

There will be lots of Santas around. Check out Christmas in the City events
City of Knoxville - Christmas in the City
It gets very festive downtown for Christmas with a lot of family activites. I'd suggest the Breakfast with Santa at the Zoo and Celebration of Lights downtown. You'll probably have your pick of Santas on Market square.
Pick up a copy of Metropulse and check the ads. There are usually photographer ads in there and some will probably have Santas.

I am always afraid to hit the Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg area this time of year. Maybe I just need to check it out during a week-day. Thanks for the info. I will check it out.

If I get good pictures, I will post them up.

Default Real Bearded Santa Claus

I am a real bearded Santa Claus serving Knoxville and the surrounding areas.
Last Friday I was the fill-in Santa at Bass Pro Shop in Sevierville. On Saturday a volunteer Santa at the Fantasy of Trees.
I have other scheduled events in Pigeon Forge, Knoxville, and Townsend.
Check this link (FM Radio B97.5), I am the December "Men in Uniform"

I know about 4 years ago there was a good one at West Towne Mall. Sorry, I haven't checked it out more recently, but if they always use that one, he looked very authentic, patient, with what appeared to be a real beard. Heck, maybe it was the poster above tnsantaclaus :-)

My kids just had their picture taken with Santa at JC Penney portrait studio at West Town Mall. He was a great Santa--completely looked and played the part. I think he's only scheduled for four days (spread out through the holiday) so you have to call the studio and ask for a day when Santa is scheduled. One sheet of Santa pics was $15 but the pics looked incredible and is probably cheaper than what you get for the mall Santa.

My daddy is the real Santa Claus! This year, he and Mrs. Claus are spending their precious few days before the big event at Streets of Southpoint Mall in Durham. He's still big and round and has a belly like a bowl full of jelly and his beard is real and white as snow. He's gentle and sweet and will make your child's every wish come true. Go see him...you'll see the twinkle in his eye and you will know like me that he is the real deal.
