I looking to relocate to some where nice and TN has really caught my eye. My husband will be back from Iraq in Oct, and were expecting our first this May. Im looking for some where real quiet with a nice country setting. I want to have a little place away from everything but still have a town to keep my husband happy (he's a bit of a PA liberal) Im looking to get a job as an EMT also. I want to be where people are nice and things are a bit slow. Where hunting and fishing is the norm, and I wont get picked on for being a country girl. Where would you suggest? THANK YOU

TN has most of what fits the bill, but can be rough on liberals. Ashville, might be a touch better, but then again, I have survived for almost 2 years, so it's not horrible.

If you kind of have a general idea of where you might find work, it would be easier if you tell us so we can throw out the names of some commuting distance towns that might fit what you are looking for.

If you know the names of some TN towns and want to compare their voting patterns, do a Google search on "City Compare." In the first site that comes up (can't name it or my post will be deleted), plug in the name of two towns in Tennessee. When the info comes up, look to the left side of the page and select Voting. I believe it was last updated in 2007. You'll see how the town votes (Republican, Democrat, Independent). After you think you see a few towns that might fit the bill, come back here and ask more questions about them. Someone is bound to either live in them or live by them.
