I am looking for a family practice physician to take over my "total" care -- one that will do my yearly well-woman exam, as well as treat me when I get sick. In some states/areas, internal medicine physicians will do well-woman exams, as well as providing regular medical care. I do not know if that is the case here in Knoxville. If so, an internal medicine physician would be fine, also. I just want ONE doctor.

And here's the hard part -- I want a female physician. I am fairly new to the area and am surprised that there are so few female physicians here. Maybe I am not looking in the right area.

I live in Powell. I prefer not to have to drive to UT and hassle with the parking, although to find a really good doctor, I would be willing to do so.

Can anyone help me out? I have no serious medical issues, thank goodness, just need to find a new PCP.

Thanks.

Vicki

Crystal Gue, MD in Halls is a wonderful IM doc but she is affiliated with UT. So, if there was to be a hospitalization that is where she admits. Sorry, that's all I've got. Hopefully someone else can help provide a suggestion.

oh, I don't mind going to UT if I have to go to the hospital.....
I just wanted to avoid having to park in the garage and walk a long way to whatever building the physician is in. I will give Dr. Gue's office a call, and see if she does GYN exams.

Thanks.

Any others?

Vicki

Great! Good luck. She is great. I drive all the way from Maryville to see her. There are a lot of female physicians in town that go to her also.
