This is a great opportunity to listen to and learn about Jazz.

It was started by Donald Brown, Jazz pianist extraordinaire and professor at UT, in conjunction with the Knox County Library.
A lot of newcomers to the area may not realize that UT has an exceptional jazz department and Knoxville has a Jazz Orchestra and a Jazz Youth Orchestra.
Some true jazz greats perform at the festival which is being held around Market Square and downtown. Several events are free.

Very exciting KG. Donald Brown is a great pianoist, and Freddie Cole obviously has a great family history of jazz (Nat King Cole). I will definitely be in attendance for those two!
