13 strong showed up for Lunch on Sunday downtown to try out the Cuban eatery. Portions were large, the service was good and we will be back. If you want to try something "Latino" but different than Mexican give them a try.

Yes it is wonderful. I'm sad, though, because they used to be in Fountain City. I guess they figured they could make more money downtown, and they're probably right.

Glad to hear it. I have a friend who is helping manage there and I've been meaning to check it out. Love ethnic foods, so I'm looking forward to trying it.

That's really cool! Was your friend working there when they were in Fountain City? I didn't get to go very often, but every time I did it was a real treat. Not only was the food absolutely delicious, but the employees were amazingly friendly.

No, she didn't get involved until the Gay Street location was opening. She's been bragging about it, I'm maybe gonna have to go tomorrow...

Yeah, it was two Fridays ago when they first opened, a few days behind schedule, some of the cooks had the bug and put them behind. Apparently the first day didn't go swell. They quickly realized they had no cash in the drawer for cash paying customers to give change. And their electronic order system wasn't working. But they qickly remedied that. The first few cash customers ate free, we missed the boat!
