I'm from California and can deal with earthquakes, but tornadoes on the other hand is another story . I know tornados are always a possability anywhere really, even in California too... How bad is Knoxville verses the surounding counties?

We are looking to put our house up for sale and move out that way (get up and go, cold turkey) and want to rent/ find a place. Can you help save me some time and gear me out of the the worst tornado paths pleeeeeeeaaaasse!

Very few tornadoes. A lot of scares, but nothing like middle and western Tennessee. If you want to be totally tornado free, consider the Tri-Cities area.

Very few tornadoes? How very few tornadoes do you mean ? Do you need a shelter or basement when purchasing or building?

Thanks for your input!!
