I don't think I've ever been to Gibbs. There's a place around here that I love?

Got it...I'd heard it referred to "the area near Gibbs HS", but not "Gibbs".

Corryton is another name I'm familiar with, and I go through Harbison Crossroads daily.

just head north on Broadway...turn right onto Emory Rd and stick with it for a few miles...when you see the zebra/donkey hybrid livestock on the right, you're almost there.

Wow wasn't expecting that one lol. Hik, isn't that the area you lived when you first came here?

zedonks? donbras? What do you call 'em? They're definitely memorable once you've seen them.

But the question is, "Why?"

Decided to break away from inbreeding?

My best guess - the thinking was along these lines..."I'm gonna invent me a new kinda mule."

Zedonks seems to be a popular name for them. Info and photos here:
Zebra Hybrids
They seem to be gaining popularity simply as a novelty and because people can create them. Looks like the sort of thing a couple of guys would decide to do after having more than a few beers. Although it sounds like most aren't mules because it's easier to get a male zebra to breed with a female donkey than vice versa.

More than a few beers and a male zebra will try to breed with anything.
