That sounds wonderful! I loooooove fresh corn. What kind of corn do you grow? My all-time favorite summertime meal is fresh creamed corn, a couple of thick slices of Grainger County tomatoes, and garden Italian beans with ham. And cornbread. With honey. Oh my gosh is it summer yet???

It's a kind of peaches and cream sweet corn. We're going to try and grow mostly corn, along with tomatoes, eggplant, squash and melons to sell.

Default Peaches and cream? Mmmmm!

My wife has made corn pudding for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners for many years. It’s fabulous! I’ll bet this type of corn of yours will make some wonderful corn pudding. Can’t wait to get some.

There is a year-round produce place in Oak Ridge called Mickey's. It's ok but I actually think Food City has better. But, you might want to give it a try.

I did find links for High Haven Farm with pasture fed meats and Middle Creek Blueberry Farm that look promising.
Just saw this post, I know most of this thread is a couple months old. If Middle Creek Blueberry Farm is the one I think it is, then it's in Greene County, near Greystone/ Afton/Chestnut Ridge. Go down the Erwin Hwy (Hwy 107) till you get to the 351 Intersection. Cut onto it (more popularly known as the "107 Cutoff"), then after you pass Hermon Church, cut back left onto Middle Creek Rd. Just about half a mile down the road is the Blueberry Farm.

Thought I'd post the directions as it can be a bit confusing to find, especially with all the different Route 107's!

Think again....pesticides don't come off when you wash them. And some pesticides get absorbed deep into the fruit and veges. Our government allows up to 14 different types of pesticides, some organic advocates say more. The produce with the highest pesticide loads are peaches, apples, grapes, strawberries, cherries, pears, spinach, etc. Organic produce is your best bet if you don't want to be battling cancer later in life.

We went and checked the Market Square farmers market today...not exactly what we had hoped for.

Incidentally, I saw a sign on Mall Road North over by the Knox Center Mall that points you onto Washington Pike and simply says "Farmers Market"...but I'm not sure where it's at...can anyone help me out here?

I assume it's somewhere out on Washington Pike?

It's not there anymore. The county farmers' market used to be near Knoxville Center Mall, but it closed down years ago and is now Target. They really should take down those signs.
