I've been researching about Knoxville in this forum & elsewhere, but don't seem to find any mention of Broadway shows in the area or any type of venue that attracts concerts & large scale entertainment. Does Knoxville have venues that offer things like that?

My husband is supposed to hear this week about a job there & I would love it if what we have here (Greenville, SC) is also there if we end up moving. Any other information on entertainment in Knoxville for us non-outdoorsy types would be much appreciated! I'm already excited to hear about the friendly people & gorgeous mountain scenery!! Thanks for any input you may have!

We have quite a few venues in town and excellent theater, opera, ballet, symphony. Plus UT has an excellent music and drama department, including jazz, and has plenty of programs.

There's not a lot of stage productions in the summer, but they'll be busy in the fall.
AC Entertainment books both the Bijou and the Tennessee Theatre. They have a Broadway in Knoxville series in the fall/winter.

That is a slice of what we have to offer. However, to get the scope of our cultural happenings, this is really the definitive website.

South Carolina? No. Our governor doesn't go AWOL for a soulmate. They once thought he had lime disease, though. That's about as exciting as it gets around here.

Anyway, I hope I made you laugh and welcome to Knoxville!
