I have a call out to my friend, who knows a great place to park, with easy in an out, to view the Knoxville fireworks.

That had me thinking. Where does everyone else park?

I never have to go anywhere for fireworks. Our neighborhood is outside the city and this is one time of year it's really cool to live here. So many people buy the good stuff and you can watch fireworks for hours.

Well, we didn't go. My friend gave us directions but it was on Western in a pretty bad neighborhood.

We stayed home and watched them in our neighborhood. Lots of neighbors were setting them off. We didn't because we have so many trees. By the way, I live in the city.

Park??? I grab my lawn chair and walk 4 minutes up the street for a primo viewing spot. BTW AJW, that's about 1 1/2 minutes from your (possible) future home.

I'd have invited you over, but you can't get here from there, at least on fireworks day. When I lived in N Knox I'd park in front of Green school or sometimes I'd just walk over to Broadway. There's a pretty good view where it slopes south of Gill st.

Aha! I was just going to post: "And you didn't invite me over?" Yeah, I imagine I would really have problems getting home!

That's good info and I will use it, next year. I haven't seen the Fourth of July fireworks, yet. I've been to Boomsday, but got a room at the Hilton. I really am a baby when it comes to traffic!
