We go to GBurg a lot and I am always disappointed that live music isn't readily available. I got to talking with a musician who was playing on the street one eve. He said they have a musician's union there and there is tension between the members and the non-members who play on the streets.

I don't know what the membership fees are to that union, but it may well be the cause for the lack of available live music. If anyone knows more about that, I'd be interested in learning more.

I don't know about Gatlinburg, but in Kodak there is a place called the Shack that has live bands every Friday and Saturday. I think they have a FB page that has their calendar and who is playing.

They get all local bands to play, from southern rock to rock to country and even some bluegrass.

No cover as far as I am aware of either.

Smoky Mtn. Brewery in both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge has live music but they've changed their bands up a bit and personally, they don't seem as good as they used to be. Also, they raised their prices on food and beer and did away with the 99 cent brews after 9pm, which is a real downer for us. I like their microbrews but the prices being what they are just don't make it worth the trip for us.

Hope I helped a bit....if you hear of any rock music around let me know, we love to go listen to rock, especially stuff like AC/DC, Metallica, etc.
Thanks!
