I previously posted about Dave & Buster's in Knoxville, and received a PM asking if I brought back a "liberal piece of garbage." (Referring to my husband from Pennsylvania)
Is it a common practice on this board to send insulting PMs like that when someone mentions a person from up north? Or is it a newly found practice to do in Knoxville itself that I missed out on in the first 20+ years of my life before I moved?
Didn't make me feel very welcome on the board or glad to be home. That's for sure.

It isn't common that I've heard, nor is that an attitude I've come across in Knoxville. I'd chalk it up to one person who is having a bad day, life or whatever.

I am so sorry that you had to see this on the forum.
If you find the messages you received to be threatening, report it to the Administrator or Yac (Senior Moderator) - they will do whatever is necessary to stop it.
Unfortunately you will come across some people like that almost anywhere, not just in Knoxville. I would just ignore them.

I would report the person to the admins. That was VERY uncalled for, and I'm sorry you experienced this.
Please don't let one sour attitude spoil your view of this forum. It's a treasure trove of info.
