We like to go to eat a decent meal and gamble on the slots.

Is this type of fun available around Las Cruces?

If so, which casinos do you recommend?
Any winning experiences you care to share?

Thanks,
Louis

Sunland Park Race Track and Casino about 40 miles south is the only one that is really close. The food is pretty good in my experience (for a racetrack) and I've won on the ponies a few times but it's just slots so I don't do the casino thing there. In Ruidoso or more specifically the Mescalero Apache Reservation there is a beautiful casino/resort. I've never won big or anything but I haven't heard complaints. The top tier restaurant (Wendell's?) there is pricey but really good.

Near Ruidoso on the Mescalero Apache Rez is a big beautiful place..brand new casino, newly re-done resort, very luxe. Sunland Park is fun to visit for betting on racing...the casino is, well, it's a casino at a track. Not very interesting. I'm not a slots person. Boorrrrringgggg.
