You're right, the people in LA seem to know how to drive...UNTIL they get to Las Vegas. Then they forget everything they ever knew.
Ooops forgot, LOL, how could I? Maybe people from L.A arent used to flowing traffic, much of thier area is not master planned?

Vegas is a horrible place to live. Trust me - you and anybody else thinking about moving here, please move elsewhere. You will hate it and wish you had the money to leave but don't. Heed my advice and move elsewhere.

No most of LA is master planned. I don't know what it is. Our streets are much wider than theirs and we have left turn signals, but their freeways are much wider than ours and they go 100mph bumper to bumper. I think they just like to gawk at our pretty scenery.

If you're trying to keep more people from moving here it won't work. Trust me, I've tried everything.

If you are serious then tell me why everybody in the world wants to live here if it's so bad.

Dang, well Buzz123, I tried. And yeah, I confess - I love living here. I shudder at the thought when my 45 minute commute now will be an hour and a half in the near future.

OK, for all you who want to move here then, yeah, you'll probably like it. But an indisputable fact is that nearly half of those who arrive leave in a few years further defining Vegas as a transient town (Source: Review Journal). The reason being? Uh..... Everyone in Vegas has cooties. So unless you have cootie protection you may want to rethink that move.

LOL, that's a good one. I love the area which is why I'm one of the many making the move in October once my house is built. If you're used to transient situations like here in DC, the move to Vegas is even easier. The traffic is bad in Vegas, but not nearly as bad as DC. Same for crime.

Plus, I won't have to worry about shoveling snow Or having to worry about people who don't know how to drive in icy conditions.

But you still have to put up with people that can't drive in wet conditions..when the monsoons come, which will be soon.

Unhappy Vegas...think twice baby

I have lived here for 14 years too long ... from So Calif. What was appealing at the time was affordable housing. That no longer exists. Vegas appeals to the young Sin City crowd mostly here for wild weekends. The reality is living here is a whole different game. If you are a single person it is nearly impossible to meet anyone who has any substance. For families be careful drugs are rampant in the schools. It is a melting pot of people from all over the country who are generally looking for jobs, an escape from the snow or affordable housing which no longer exists. We are in a huge Real Estate decline, among the top 2 in the nation for foreclosures. The media constantly boosts about the job opportunities...what they neglect to say is most jobs here pay very low wages and there are at least 100 people applying for every position. The majority of people here seek tip oriented jobs to survive. It's very much an "old boy" state and not what you know but who you know. The cost of living here is high. Auto Insurance is through the roof due to the 24hr casino/alcohol oriented enviornment. Auto accidents are a common occurrence with a tremendous amount of fatalities. We just had a 12% increase in our electricity bills which you cannot survive without using your air conditioning at least 4-5 solid months through the year.
I live in one of the nicest areas here which is Summerlin, there are constant break-in/robberies happening here all the time. People are extremely unfriendly.
The weather literally sucks...when the wind kicks up (which happens alot) that great desert dust blows and allergies go through the roof. One positive thing though if you have pets there are no fleas here (they can't survive in is climate). The schools are not good-they are so over crowded and we are always in desperate need for teachers. Drugs throughout the school system is a growing epidemic with Meth use among the highest in the nation.

Vegas is great for a weekend-BUT NOT TO LIVE HERE-think twice.
