I just submitted an offer on a much bigger/better house in the FAR NW vegas. Short sale listed at 135k but we're offerring 145k cash. More than we wanted to pay but the house is worth it. the other agent is saying he can close it in 2 months, fingers crossed.

Now we can't put out anymore offers, not enough to cover EMD. I'm guessing our chances are 50/50 and we shouldn't get our hopes too high?

So the bimmer got downgraded again and we're now buying furniture from a consignment store now. 8^)

Did ya get it? Sounds like that's up in my neighborhood.

Well...

I flew in LA Friday and family had a lil party... 4 tequila shots made it a warm home coming. Bought a M3 Sat. and was in pure heaven playing with the new tchnology here.
I love how GPS' route you around traffic in LA, that's golden!

Checked in Sunday night Aliante Resort, closing supposed to be Monday... delayed. 30 minutes at understaffed front desk trying to simply extend 1 day. Spanish cowboy dude cuts in front making me wait even longer, almost got into fight... dumb.

House closed Tues, 1st floor all furnished from Colleens, office done. Jet lagged... yay wallmart is 24 hours!! Back in LA yesterday. Next Wed. ALL utilities turned on, excited. Just small things to buy for now.

Quiet neighborhood (phew), cause I bought this home without actually seeing it, all remote. Small homes (1.9k sq ft.) but everyone seems to have a nice ride. Already have a handyman named Nacho, 4 hours of work $100. Going to try another guy to compare. Easy to get referrals.

EVERYONE IS SOOOO FRIENDLY. Asia sucks in comparison.

Skype video calls makes the family feel close, and its free. Wife's visa should be done in 8-10 months and we'll all be here... family pact, thxgiving at our vegas home since we have young young kids

Man is it dry here, 4 nosebleeds day 2... but then it stopped. I'll be getting a RO and humidifier on main AC system. Hopefully I can find one as low maintenance as possible. Everything in the house was shocking the **** out of me when touched but I stopped wearing my slippers and it stopped.

I'll stay a few more weeks then back to my wife/kids.

My USA family will use it as a vacation home and i'll be back early next year for a while.

Overall, it's really really good to be home. *tear* Now i'm gonna go wash that new car RAWR!!

Thx for all the help i've gotten from you guys here. Cheers!

Haha @ nosebleeds.

I am currently stationed overseas (Bahrain) where it is 70-90% humidity and just got back from a brief vacation at home. Had nosebleeds and itchy skin for like the first week. Think I will just go the 'tough it out' route and let my body adapt rather than get a humidifier. Was nice being able to actually use a 'car duster' though and see it work! Out here you have to go through the daily routine of getting a rag and rubbing the crap out of it to get the sand/dust off your car.

I have a ton of electronics (projector, xbox, ps3, plasmas, laptops, etc) and figure the dry air will be nicer to them than if i subject em to a humidifier.

Annywho... congrats on the new place !!
