driving into the Sands/Venetian area. Reasonable or no? By reasonable, I mean about a half hour or less.

Thanks!

At 3 am you could make that commute in 30 minutes, but I wouldn't count on it during normal rush hours.....

It used to be that you could hop on the beltway going east, connect to I-15 and make it there in a half hour. Now with so many people moving to the upper northern valley, it will now take an hour or more.
So alternatives exist..one way is to take one of the surface streets like Decatur, which isn't as packed as the beltway is. If you go in the morning, around 7am from the beltway/Aliante parkway, (i take decatur) it will take approximately 30 mins to get to Tropicana near the Luxor(2 blocks away.) And it's not much farther to the Sands.
Now coming back takes me between 45 mins to an hour. And this is at 5pm. I take I-15 north to the 215 beltway.

Lola, if you want a better commute to work, look for a home in The Lakes or Spring valley. IF you still want to live farther out, just add time to your commute. Alot of us do and it works for us.

if you want a better commute, you should be looking at the SW, possibly north of Blue Diamond or 215, even though 215 doesn't get all that much backed up from there...then I-15 is very easy and fast from there, as long as there's no accidents, we usually make it from Silverado Ranch to Cheyenne on I-15 in about 10 minutes, but that's also at 3 PM....
