Just wondering if would be eligible once the repayment is finished. I don't plan on ever needing unemployment again, but I never planned on needed it the first time either!

I would think if there wasn't any mistruth or fraud you'd be eligible again. Buzz123 will have to enlighten you factually.

Even if you were guilty of fraud, ESD is pretty lenient most of the time, and once it is paid back you can collect again after meeting the requirements given in your determination. You can pay back different ways too. If you returned to work you can work out a payment schedule. Or, if it was just a filing mistake, and not too much money involved, you can wait until you become eligible for UI again, and use your benefits at that time to pay it back.

If you use future, or present, benefits to pay it back, you can ask if they will put half your weekly benefits against the debt, and give you half to live on. At ESD there is a form for everything. Don't roll over and play dead when they say no to something. Don't be an a$$ either. But know the law.

Go to the ESD website, or the public library, and learn your rights. Don't ask people on a forum. I've said this many times and I'll say it again ...In all the years I worked at ESD I probably had three or four people per day tell me that so and so friend or relative told me this or that about UI ...NEVER ONCE WERE ANY OF THEM RIGHT!!! NEVER!!! I agree it is complicated stuff, but if you can read you can understand it. Look at me. I'm stupid and I probably got at least half of it. Of course we had people to run to all day and ask, and if they were unsure they called Carson City. They're really smart up there. They're nice too, believe it or not.
