- I've read that is very difficult to get an Older home (1997 and below) financed with a VA loan. Is there any truth to this?

- Also is there an unwritten 'rule of thumb' when searching prospective
homes that will use VA financing?

- What and How is Homepath.com beneficial with the whole VA house
finding process?

- Any other tips or suggestions you might have is appreciated!

Thanks in advance,
Firm

None whatsoever.

Not really. VA is pretty stringent on property standards so if you are looking at REOs you should be careful as a bad inspection will kill a deal.

Homepath is another financing option for REO properties owned by FNMA. It cannot be used in conjunction with VA.

I would make my FIRST stop to the VA office on MLK...WITH your DD214 if you have it....if not they can get it quickly....a typical Govmint office....they aren't the fastest workers but the get the job done.
