We will be coming to Las Vegas in Oct. My sister and her husband will be coming with us and we have decided to rent Harley's and tour outside of Vegas one day. We are essentially there only 48 hours. Is there anyway in one day to see Hoover Dam, Valley of Fire, Lake Mead, Red Rock and Mt Charleston while on a motorcycle? Each distance doesn't look that far from the Vegas strip... yet, guided bike tours seem to take 10 hours. Do we even need a guide or is this something we can arrange for ourselves?

No, not at all. You can set your own agenda hit the majority in one day.

Do not get a guide. All you need is a map or map quest. I have done the trip starting at Hoover and up around the lake through the valley of fire over to Mt Charleston. I am sure that if you start early you can also go over to red rock. Just map quest it. It is a great ride. The road around the lake is a dream on a bike. GOOD LUCK and Good riding
