No, too much dropped channels and bad reception, I work in large apt complex with many rooms and you do not want to have pissed off residents.

Cox is stable, I will give them that. If price is not an issue I would go with them.

If you want to watch the NFL, Direct TV is the only way to go - NFL Sunday Ticket is a beautiful thing. You'll get a better selection of sports packages with satellite.

I've had both, currently with Cox. The one thing I didn't like about satellite was the wind knocking my dish out of alignment once or twice a year.

I've read direct tv could be mid $300 which is steep. If that is true, it could be a big detractor. But i heard direct tv prices are negotiable

I will give you a very strong hint...all the sports fans have Direct. They may have Cox also...but they all have Direct.

I had the competitor for some years but got it for free. Now I use Cox.

In selling houses it is always clear where the sports fans on the block are...just look for the Direct dishes.

I don't really understand the charm but the outcome is clear.

The owner of the property I work for has $$$$$ which happens to own properties not only in Vegas but California as well and with our occupancy in the 90's I don't think she wants the residents to be pissed off and end up leaving because of some channels missing on the lineup.

$300? If that's per month, no way - not even close. Who told you that? The cable company? Generally, I've found that satellite is cheaper than cable, but it all depends on the package you're looking for.

FWIW, NFL Sunday Ticket is approx $300 for the entire season - maybe this is what you're referring to.

EDIT: From what I recall, Direct TV does not prorate any of their sports packages. So if you really want it, better sign up sooner than later to take full advantage of it.

Sports fan, Direct is the way to go. I use Cox because of the multiservice bundles. Also the on Demand from Direct still sucks. Cox on Demand is fast and reliable in my home. Direct would really have to run a good special price to get me back.
