I avoided all the condo type places because of all these monthly fees. Most of the listings I saw the fees were quite expensive.
The condo I am renting a room out of has a $120 a month association fee. I know the property tax is low since it is valued at $40,000. This is for a gated 2br/2ba.

That might be but if you are retired and do not have to be any place at a certain time, I am just saying it is possible. You can save several hundred dollars a month not having it. When we retire- if we can still go there- I am not planning to own one. I figure a trip to the doctor and 2 to the grocery store a month- maybe $60 for a cab. The rest of the time I will be found at the pool or the tennis court. And if we want to venture to the Strip, can take a bus.

I bought a 2 bd., 2ba. condo in Desert Shores for less than $50K. Two pools, work out facility, gated and night patrol. HOA is $126. Nice, quite and clean complex.

Whats wrong with having a small place. Why do people need 3 bathrooms an 5 bedrooms.

I meant small as in tiny- like a studio gig or something. I will not need a 3 br but a 2 br is nice for any guest and you know in LV you are going to have relatives visit you.

Anything for less than $100,000 is going to snapped up by all cash investors and rented out. A regular buyer hasn't a prayer of getting a condo or house at less than bubble value and the banksters will not give mortgages for bubble value.

Default Las Vegas Condos

There are many condos in this price range. I bought one in Feb. If you are a cash buyer much easier. My place is an older condo but was a great deal.

Is English your second language? If so, you need to study a little harder.

If not.....

my condolences.
