What would you say is the best Mexican restaurant in Vegas or Henderson?

I like spicy salsa and good chips. And I like a good green salsa too.

I have been to Cozymels on Flamingo - good food but salsa is not hot at all.

I'm a big fan of Dona Maria's on Tenaya near Cheyenne. It also has a location downtown, but the Tenaya restaurant is superior, in my opinion. Not the cheapest in town but the best-tasting food I've found so far.

I didn't think Cozymel's was that good. Beautiful place, nothing special food. Maybe it was an off night. I ate at a place downtown a couple of years ago that was pretty good, can't remember the name of it but I'd know it if I saw it...Fremont immediately east of the casinos iirc.

I haven't been in LV long enough to state what the absolute best Mexican restaurant is, but I can tell you the best one I've been to and that is Frank & Fina's Cocina.

I may get skewered for this, but I have to recommend it even though it's not "authentic" Mexican food: Mi Casa inside the Silverton Casino. It's more of an upscale Mexican restaurant with GREAT food, awesome decor, fresh ingredients and tasty salsa. (3 choices served with chips as soon as you sit down)

OK - I know of a Mexican Restaurant that really is a Mexican Restaurant.

It is surviving and actually got a wine/beer license...But it is in the wrong part of town and it caters exclusively to Mexicans. And it only cooks hard core Mexican.

Anybody want to try it? I would think if we could put together 20 people or so we could take it over some night. It is not very big...

If you want to try I will approach the owner and see what we can work out...

Who is in?

Respond anyway you like. But I will only count the DMs.

We only make it to Vegas once every few months so our experience is limited. Viva Michoacan, 2061 W Sunset in Henderson was recommended to us on this forum, we tried it and liked it. Chips, salsa and bean dip very good.

Don't Forget Lindo Michocan on Desert Inn And Eastern. They also have other locations, but this location is my favorite.
