I have never had to wait for a restaurant to confirm or not confirm a reservation. I requested a reservation on the restaurant website and am now expected to wait for a response. Even if I get a reservation I will not go now because that is horrible customer service. I read many reviews and they are not glowing. Why would a restaurant with poor reviews have this type of reservation process? We were just going for the experience of the "wine angels."

I use the internet a lot but I would always call if I was going to make a reservation. It might just be the way the site was made and not their intention of making you wait.

Maybe that's it but I have never had problems with online restaurant reservations and much prefer them because your preferences are in writing and not subject to human error.

If they can't do it right, they shouldn't do it at all. Put a phone number on their website and leave it at that. Halfassing customer service on the net is extremely annoying because it sets up expectations and then fails to deliver. Better to have no expectations at all.

I don't think so because the message you get tells you to wait for an email confirmation before the day of your reservation.
