I have had these ugly sores on the sides of my torso up just below my armpits. About a year ago they were just there when I woke up. I didn't think a whole lot about it. Until just recently, I was laying on my side, on my bed, with one hand propping up my head.
All the sudden, a little 5/8 inch long, 1/16 inch thick black bug (or parasite)(no extremeties, just a little tube). Now I have seen these bugs around the house on occassion, I thought it just fell off my headboard and landed on my arm somehow, so I grabbed it quickly and flushed it, foolishly.
It struck me that it fell out right about where my sore was. So I checked it out, and I see a little gooey fresh flesh red dot, right in the middle of the sore I have. Looking an awful lot like a potential exit hole.
I have searched for a few days now as to what this bug could be. Nothing even close. Asked around, nobody has seen what I've described. Has anyone seen these and better yet, DO YOU KNOW WHAT IT IS? I will surely be saving the next one I see. I have seen these on occassion around the house, laying on the floor, whatever. They don't seem to bite or anything. When I pick them up to flush them, they kinda just twist their body around while I have them between my fingers.
Black, shiney, 5/8 long (roughly), 1/16 thick (roughly), no visible legs or antenae, just a slick torpedo-like body.

The only thing that would leave a bite like what you explained would be a Bed Bug. But if you have had them for over a year, you would be seeing the bugs everywhere.

BugBully, doesn't the bug sound like a harmless earwig?

Have you been getting customers that have bed bugs here, or can they live here?

It kinda sounds like an earwig, but he said something about not legs.

And yes, Bed Bugs are very bad here. We get about 3 to 5 calls a week regarding them.

They definetly arent earwigs. Atleast not the earwigs I know of. Like I said, absolutely, no extremeties. Just a body. Earwigs (the ones I've seen) have litlle pincher looking things on their butt.

They get bit too or the bed bugs wouldn't be hanging around them. If you are not allergic, you may not see any sign of being bit.
