Guess I am a wimp, because my down jacket came out last Jan/Feb in LV and I am very familiar with freezing temps....

Cold temps by itself is fine. Different story when it's cold and the wind is blowing 40+ mph.

I wore a medium weight cable knit sweater all winter long. I got out my super light coat that is thinner than my sweater one time last winter. Only because it allows me to stay dry when it rains. Otherwise, I just toss on a sweater. I am hoping for a colder winter so i can finally use my sweater coat again, super thick and toasty warm. It rots away in the hall closet for years. I should check it to make sure it's not all moth eaten by now. In Ohio, that would have worn out fast. Here..it will last until my next lifetime.

I am glad that the "streak" is over. Its always been in the news. 137 days is a long time. Is the amount of days without rain, that big of an issue out here. I am more surprised that was not longer.

This rain and thunder here in Henderson scares me.
It's not like the stuff in Manhattan.

This stuff shakes the house!
And the actual AMOUNT of water that falls is amazing.
I don't like it.
I don't like it one bit.

Somebody hold me.

Are you making fun of my dog Herman? Had to give him valium twice today. Burglars don't scare him but a little thunder and he's shaking in his boots (tiny doggie boots).

Love the rain! Only thing I am worried about is the rain washing away all the bug spray that Dan the bug bully man left here early last week.

You call this a storm????

Pah. I've barbecued in worse than this. Go visit the Caribbean for the entire month of August. You're sure to see a real storm or two that way.
