I'm not intentionally negative but Yes I will ask questions about the negative aspects of Vegas. I'm a very thorough person. Especially with something as life-altering as moving to a new area I'm going to investigate every relevant detail.

Also I never lived in Orange County and am not sure why you said that.

Our home is close to other homes. I don't hear the children, I don't hear any fights, but I do hear DOGS! It seems like everyone in this town except for me owns at least two large dogs that love to bark and bark and bark. (A wee bit of exaggeration, perhaps, but seriously, a LOT of dogs around here.)

Dogs are a pet peeve of mine especially since I work from home. Are there HOAs that prohibit dog ownership? If so I might have to live in those communities

On my entire street only 3 families have children. There are some homes where I have never seen the person who lives there. The must work at night.

Older home usually equals larger lot.

Here, people don't want to do a lot of yard work because it's hot in the summer. Also watering that yard is an issue too. The heat also means that other than pools, people spend little time outside in the summer. People here tend to work a lot because wages are low and that leaves little time for yards.
