Besides...maybe when they advertised a "mini bar"...they meant a tiny little seven-seater down in the casino.

I just started going to the movie theater at Aliante. I can't believe how DEAD that place is. I mean, I expect to see fewer people in the casinos than in the past, but that place is ridiculous! You could hear a pin drop it's so quiet. Makes me feel kind of sad for them.

Less people = less smoke to wade through. It has a good side. However, the times I go there, during the daytime, there are lots of people in there, and the buffet is half filled or more. When they have the promo's going on, you can't even get a decent machine. But once the promo ends, the place does empty out.
If they just loosened up the machines the way there were after the grand opening, they would have more people playing more often. Greed overwhelms common sense on their part. It's not just Aliante station with this problem.

Tried to rep you Pinkie but once again was denied (and I would have succeeded if it wasn't for you meddling kids).

Anyway, that is correct. Ever since their opening, Aliante's machines have been very tight and their tables have become a joke. Prime example is 3-card poker, they used to hand shuffle the decks prior to putting them in the shuffler which gave better odds to the players. Once the house concluded that, they changed their practice and stopped hand shuffling.

We used to win quite a bit at Santa Fe and Red Rock but things have gotten tighter over at those casinos as well so we're thinking of holding off on the gambling for a while.

Can't rep you either right now. I went on a repping spree this last weekend. Probably why.
We used to win a lot at Santa Fe too, and Sunset station. They've got the machines tighter than O.J's butt in prison. Sorry, but that's the best description i could think of how tight those machines are.
We also quit gambling. Might drop a dollar or two after having a BOGO meal once a month, but that's it now. I can do well at the Wild Wild West divey place though. Try a dive, your money will last longer and you will probably go home happy. Ellis Island was also pretty good. Not really divey, just packed with people.

I either go to Red Rock or Aliante for movies. I prefer going to Red Rock but Aliante is just fine to see a movie.

By the way...you can buy discounted movie passes at Costco. So instead of paying nine or ten bucks for a movie at 7:00pm, it's cheaper than the matinee price.
