I bet you could find one with 100k miles and a missing hood in the 20's.

Dealer has NOT responded to followup emails, nor did he reply with history in the first email (sent via web form). At least I have something with a discount noted. If they jerk me around i'm more than willing to buy elsewhere.

The decision to deplete savings for a car is somewhat retarded and i'm starting to realize that. Stupid little M badge!

My bad, misread the auction numbers.. M's are in the 20s... M3's are in the 30s to low 40s..depending on model.. most expensive is around $42k with 10k miles so that gives you a starting point on what to offer

Nice, wish I had time/auction access... 10k miles isn't bad. buy it for me, pay you back
Found another one with 7k miles at $62k

If dealers honors $71k on this I'll probably do it. *shakes head*

I was considering trading my X5 for a new one and all I can say is that the minute I mentioned this to them they have not left me alone. Which means they are prob hurting for business and you could prob get a good deal.

Don't tell them of any trade in (or financing for that matter) before the car you want is a done deal.....this is possibly why they are belligerent towards you because they WILL (not can) make money both ways instead of one

It's amazing how many dealerships are still in business after dealing with such savvy buyers.

The car buying experience still sounds miserable. If it were up to me it would be like buying an oversized item at Costco or Toys R Us. Take the ticket from the shelf directly to the cashier, go around to the back door to pick it up.
