I haven't heard of Vegas being affected with any types of natural disasters, but are there any potential threats? In CA for example we are at risk of a major earthquake (overdue for it actually).

Are dust storms a problem?

Drought seems like an obvious issue but I'm sure infrastructure accounts for it well.

I'd worry most about Megatron getting loose from his prison inside of the Hoover dam.

I have known a few people here in Vegas that qualify as natural disasters.

While no place is immune from such things, Nevada is about as close as you can get. That's why some really big names in technology have a presence in an ultra-high-tech, but not very publicized, data center out here.

generally not caused by nature (think potato famine in Ireland)...but naturally occurring within the cycles of a free economy.
