I know a chinese speaking couple who recently relocated from Los Angeles area got their new jobs within a month of their arrival.
The man works for a local chinese restaurant as a waiter on Spring Mountain Road, and the woman works for a small chinese company as an office assistant.

They both got their jobs because they are able to speak fluent chinese language. I believe they both earn $10 an hour or about $3500 a month combined together. Living in a 2-bedroom apartment, their monthly rent is only $700. They told me they are much better off here than in Los Angeles.

Haha, being Chinese is like a free ticket to work at a Chinese restaurant. I never see anyone of any other race working in them in any part of the country. I wonder if those restaurants ever deal with lawsuits claiming race discrimination during the hiring process.

No, this is not race discrimination.
Due to the nature of the business, Chinese restaurants need to hire employees who can speak Chinese language fluently. It is because majority of customers dining at Chinese restaurants are Chinese speaking people.
They don't discriminate against other races during the hiring process; they just want someone who can speak their own language to deal with their customers. Apparently, the pool of potential applicants is very small. Not many people other than Chinese can meet their hiring criteria reasonably.

You could also try to find work as a stand up comedian!

NOW we can get back to normal.
Las Vegas was never meant to be a huge metropolis anyway. It was meant to be a small city where there were more people in hotel rooms on any given night than there were people in bedrooms. Not only can the economy not handle millions of people but the eco system can't either (I'd say the same thing about Phoenix too).

Texas is still your best option for a job but it sucks to live there.
