I was just wondering if anyone work for 2 different casinos on the strip. I have a part time job at a casino but I want to apply for another part time position somewhere on the strip as well. Does anyone think that is a good idea? I really like my current job and I don't want to jeopardize it but I need money.

I read some where that it's a conflict of interest and I can get fire for it but times are tough right now I just wanted some advice.

Thanks

or check with HR....in most cases, so long as youre working in two differant fields i.e. Hotel Front Desk and dealer..... its not a problem.....and in some cases they really dont care....we have a part time desk clerk that works full time front dest on the strip....

you might be ok if the other casino belongs to same corporation as the first.

Yes, check with your current employer to learn the policy. You're more than likely not ok if they are sister properties, unless business dictates you work at different places.

As part time, you should be fine unless you're in a high-profile position. If they say anything, ask for more hours

I worked at Palms and Planet Hollywood for 6 months last year, before Palms introduced a limited Conflict of Interest Policy. Basically, it said butlers and casino hosts could not work at other properties as butlers or casino hosts. A butler working as a waiter or in room service was acceptable, however. It was petty and discriminitory, but rules is rules.
