I speak several languages and for the first time in my US life, I actually get to USE them. Being multilingual is an advantage in the workplace here. I'm trying to learn Spanish too.

Look for places that can use your skills and be glad you have them. Someday, they may make you some money.

In the meantime....back when things were 'good' here it was hard to find people to staff low paying jobs and employers had to hire people who didn't speak English. If they were smart, they invested a lot of time learning to speak, read and write English. That's sure what I did when I lived in other countries.

Now, it's probably much more difficult for non English speaking people to get a job or keep a job.
