I have enjoyed the buffets at Bellagio, Wynn, and Pallazo, and in my estimation there is NO better value than the M buffet, especially for lunch. The selection is phenomenal and the quality always outstanding. Here's hoping it'll maintain its level of excellence under the new ownership.

Well, if that happens, I'll bail too (and I don't work there)!

That would make it 5 star in my book!

Yes seriously, if you factor in all the choices one has of great places to eat here, it seems somewhat extravagent to spend close to an hour roundtrip dealing with traffic to drive from the northwest over to M just for a good buffet. This is not a buffet but in less than 5 minutes someone from my area can be at Red Rock to take advantage of the cold water lobster tail special that comes with fresh baked bread, big dinner salad, potato choice and vegetable for $15.00.

Soup is a filler? Well maybe if you're having a giant bowl of it, but what is your point? A cheap date at a buffet?

Sorry the drive is too much for you

And no, the typical Stations Casino Feast Buffet at Red Rock Station DOES NOT COMPARE at all to the M Buffet in my opinion.

When we went a few Saturdays ago, we all left from my rental up at 215/Cheyenne (next to Sun City Summerlin). Took the Beltway to LVB at 5:30 pm and we were there at the M in 30 minutes. Going home we took 15 (the entrance is right there) and it took us 25 minutes to get home.

No problem at all, and probably not a "killer" drive for most folks either, lol

It's reasonable to say that the drive can take considerably longer depending on a) the time of day you're leaving, b) where in Summerlin you're leaving from and c) which route you take.

I live near 215 and Charleston, near the Red Rock Resort. Taking the 215 to the 15 to the M, it's about a 22-minute drive with normal traffic on the beltway.

If you're in another part of Summerlin and take Summerlin Parkway to U.S. 95 to I-15 to the M and encounter the usual congestion at the Spaghetti Bowl, it can take much longer.

But a "killer" drive? I would respectfully disagree.

Okay, so my choice of adverbs was exaggerated. Would you accept "long" drive? Point still is, it's basically an hour roundtrip. And I was not comparing one of the station feast buffets, which cost less, to the M buffet. I have a background in food and have to tell you, people that put salad on their plates and soup in a bowl after paying for a buffet are dearly loved. And if I knew how to put a row of juvenile frownie faces on this post, coming right back at you.

It's about a 40 minute drive taking the beltway through Summerlin from Aliante. I don't mind the drive to the M, but my other half does. If it were up to me, I would go to the M and Silverton more. Not just for a meal, but spend the day out that way. And go out to Primm and visit with yellowsnow while she works. Since that's just a blip up the road from the M.
