I had internet problems last week (still have them). I called Cox and they were to send someone out on Saturday from 1p-3p. Nobody ever showed up. I thought maybe i made a mistake and it was for Monday 1p-3p. Monday came and went, nothing..

Has anyone ever had a missed appointment with Cox?

I'm going to be calling them later today.. advice?

Ask for a service credit because of downtime and them not showing up.

A cable company not showing up?? I'm shocked...shocked, I tell you!

BTW, Seinfeld did an entire episode on this aspect of cable "service" about 15-20 years ago. It's a classic.

Well, I might be in the minority here, but I've had nothing but excellent customer service from Cox, despite my dropping its cable service earlier this year in favor of DirecTV. But I still have my Internet and phone service through Cox, and on the few times when I've had issues there, every appointment has been on time and the work done efficiently.

I received a $100 credit from Direct TV for a missed appointment a few years ago. You have nothing to lose by asking for it.

I would agree. Let them know you missed a day wages by waiting for them and see if you get a reaction!
