Just moved in. How long do I have before I'm required to get a Nevada driver's license, and register my car here? Couldn't find that info on the DMV site, but I'm assuming either 30 or 60 days.

Yep 30 days...I got mine within 30 just to be safe...Gotta get Insruance, then Smog Test, then you take the results and your plates to the DMV and pay the $200 bucks or however expensive it is now. Just be forwarned, depending on different circumstances every year you gotta do smog test and cough up roughly $200 bones to renew...SUX.

Protip: Head to either the DMV on W Flamingo or N Decatur on the far North Side of town. Sahara is craptastic and too small.

Peace

Thanks for the specifics. I'll head to the one on Decatur - that's actually pretty close me.

depends on what you drive... 200 is on the low end of the spectrum....if you have a benz or something fancy, count on 800 or better..

30 days. If not, you can get a ticket. If you live in my neighborhood, I'll report you for having out of state plates. 455-FAIR...as in if you want to live here, you have to pay your FAIR share.

New residents have 60 days - not 30 - to register their cars; the 30 days only applies to getting a DL.

I registered two 2006 mid range cars and the tax was $300 per car. It's about 2% of the value. It's pretty ridiculous.

It is more like $50 on the low end. I just registered my car in September and it was $54 for the year. It went up as it was $40 for the previous 2 years.
