Hi, Davie.

There are official websites that show all ongoing road construction projects and lane closures. Here are a couple:

District 1 Construction Report

Check Status of Roadwork and Traffic (Official City of Las Vegas Web Site)

It's rarely the roads that need fixing that get worked on. It's the perfectly fine
roads YOU need to use.

You need to learn the surface streets routes to and from where you need to go. Once you figure them out, you can bypass all the stopped traffic on the freeway.

Yeah, that construction is bad there. We took it home the other night and I warned my husband not to go that way. But, he did. It was slow going and I told him I would have beat him home even with the stop lights. Stubborn.

Overall, the roads beat MI roads by miles, so it doesn't really bother me.

95 Freeway has been underconstruction since I have lived here. I've been here nearly 24 years. I have seen results so I'm not complaining besides, I no longer take the 95 Freeway. My friend is from Boston and he likes our road network here, he thinks it is far better compared to the road networks back east. Wider lanes and newer. My aunt likes driving here whenever she visits, she is from New Jersey, she likes the fact there are less cars, wider and newer roads.

Yeah, the roads here, construction and all, are paradise compared to NYC, NJ, much of CT, and, of course, Boston.

Anyone who complains about the roads and/or traffic/drivers here has limited perspective.
