You might even be able to do this for free, or at least get a 'deal'. And BTW, they have two 'Honeymoon Cabins" with their own hot tubs.

I was hired to write an article about one of the wedding fairs last year by a local wedding chapel. I was supposed to go as a prospective bride and participate in whatever I wished. So I grabbed the SO and we went. I filled out the paperwork to 'win' a free stay at Mt. Charleston.

A few weeks later they contacted me and offered me a free stay(room and food). I didn't take them up on it but apparently this is something they do all the time. Of course they are hoping you will have a big wedding there.

Now I'm not suggesting you get married! And I guess anyone who did this would have to listen to some kind of sales pitch. I'm just telling you they do this....

Make her feel special anyway you can. Just try not to spend money that you don't have.

If you're heading up that mountain...just use protection before reaching the peak!

They say a diamond is a girls best friend, but a trip to the lodge for the two of you would a gift that keeps on giving.

If you're talking about a weekend at Mt. Charleston Lodge, you might be bored to death, as there's not much to do up there. You might consider driving a little further, and head down to Big Bear Lake, Calif., or up to Springdale, Utah (Zion Nat'l Park). Both nice little mountain towns with a lot of things to do in much more beautiful settings. Of course, Charleston Lodge would be great if you plan to spend the whole weekend cuddled up before a nice fire... (I assume the cabins have fireplaces?)

BTW: Really? Shopping for her gift at a flea market? Come on. How about Nordies, or Needless Mark-up? And every girl is happy with anything in a little blue box (Tiffany's, that is).

In their 20's, "romantic" means something entirely different than when you get older!

I know enough about wimmin to know that the lowest priced gift in a Tiffany's blue box is worth more than the highest priced gift from Fantastic Flea Market, and the cost is probably about the same. The XYL assures me of that all the time.
