The MLS. Cost you about 1/2 a months rent. For houses better than anything else including Craign's list.

bullpucky... Craigslist all the way... My rental was on the mls for 45 days, i withdrew it.. raised the rent $100 and listed on craigslist.... Gone in 72hrs to a GREAT tenant. and on the MLS, I had the profit to ANY realtor that could rent it at $500!

Bull pucky back atcha. YOu know or should know that any single transaction proves nothing. I picked up a listing back a couple of months ago that had been on the market for six month. Sold it in a week. Like to believe that it is because we are really good at that but I don't

MLS moves about 2000 a month of SFRs. Maybe Craig's moves that many too...but I don't think so. I just ran a little check in another thread and found they have vastly less listings in one development.

I would also list on Craig's on any rental. Why not cover both?

Out of curiousity why did you not list it on Craig's when you put it in the MLS? I don't know any reason why you could not list it at different prices if you like.

I have never heard of good things happening from using CL. Even worse some potentially good tenants have had to deal with the scammers who use CL so they shy away from trying to use it in the first place.

I tried renting a house on CL awhile back and got very little interest. Been using MLS since then with very good results. Nice thing about MLS in a town like Vegas too is everything is very comparable. You can figure out the going rate for a rental in a snap and price it competitively. Good luck doing that on CL. Even better if you use a lockbox you don't even have to be around for showings.
