I thought about jets because up here where I live we usually can't see them when they make that hard right towards Indian Springs, but we can hear them pretty good. The other day I'm sure one broke the sound barrier close to here. It scared the he** out of my dog, and I thought for a minute it was an earthquake. Is Operation Red Flag going on now? Might be some rowdy foreign pilots doing that. I think ours are not allowed to.

I was out the end of last week scooping up all the POS's dog poop when I heard what I thought was a sonic boom. Then some loud rumbling from far off somewhere. I looked all around, up too, and no planes in the sky at that time. It went on for a little while, then I went back inside and forgot about it til now.
Have no idea what it was, so I just blamed Nellis as usual.

It's them dam* aliens again. They have a secret hanger for the saucer inside Mt. Charleston and it makes a lot of noise when it slams shut. Wish they'd just stay at Area 51 where they belong.

Speaking of weird hangars and such...why do black helicopters fly really low over BLM land near the Sheep range mountains and look like they disappear into the mountains? For one thing, they shouldn't be flying so low where they can knock over pedestrians. So what are they really doing?
I noticed this a few times while out hiking, and riding bikes.

Counting sheep? Rounding up wild horses? Or are they military?

No sheep and no horses. Always nothing below them. I just find it weird that they disappear into there and reappear suddenly. Freaky.
I don't know if they are military or what. Not sure i want to ask what they are up to...

What is that shiny silver thingy up on top of Gass Peak?

Sometimes when the sunlight hits it just right, it's very visible.

Maybe that has something to do with the black helicopters (which I believe ARE from Nellis) because I've seen them too.
