Been a lot of discussion recently about what you can't get in Las Vegas.

For istance from old Rochester NY there are red hots and white hots. These were a local form of a hot dog or bratwurst with either a red or white skin. I always though they were awful but when we would have old Rochersterian parties in the west someone would always bring a box of red hots and white hots. And I would nostagically eat them smothered in onions.

Tell you what. If we get a good set I will put up a page to memorialize the missing things.

Each entry needs three things...A name, a descriiption and the place where it can be found.

I will start with a couple...

Red Hots and White Hots.
Strange porkish hot dogs with red or white casing.
Rochester NY and other upstate places

White Castle hamburgers.
Minimalist patties loaded with onions on a minimalist roll. You eat multiples.
Midwest Louisville KY

Chocolate A Cream
Concoction of seltzer, chocolate syrup and milk. No cream no egg
New York City and environs

When I forst moved away from the Detroit area I was sad to learn that no one knew what Paczi's were.

Paczi
Found in Detroit area
Paczi day is celebrated on Fat Tuesday and is rooted in the Polish tradition of using up all fats and goodies before lent. It is a softball sized donut that's extra fatty and delicious...
