Has anyone done this with the outfitter(s) in Primm? How was your experience? In your opinion, something worth trying once? Looks kind of fun to me

I've never tried, but would love to! Saw people sailing yesterday as I drove down Rt. 15.

I've seen it a lot of times and it looks like fun. The next few weeks/month is probably the best time to go. Before it gets too hot.

I did it last year and it was a blast! Once you get the hang of it you can get some serious speed going.

I got it half price through Groupon, though I haven't seen it offered lately.

I just saw a half price Group On for a hot air balloon ride. That's a blast too (so to speak).

Do you need to know anything about sailing to do the dry lake buggy thing?

I saw the balloon ride, but I'm afraid of heights. I did buy the sleigh ride one for Mt. Charleston.

No, land sailing has nothing to do with regular sailing (of which I know zilch). It's basically a 3-wheel little buggy with a sail that sits very low to the ground. The instructor gives a short lesson, then you're on your way. It's a lot of fun.

How much was it (and for how long)?

Thanks for the land sailing pic. Now I've gotta do it. Is it very strenuous?

I don't remember having my usual fear of falling from the balloon, but I don't as long as I have something steady to hold onto. It's just such a peaceful way to travel.

Better take your sleigh ride soon before it all melts.
