Wow,

Why are these so expensive? No discount on these eh?

While other condos have come down quite considerably in price over the last couple years, these remain priced for the 'elite'.

Are they really that much more exquisite / nicer than say, Turnberry Place?

I used to live at Turnberry Towers, and have a good friend who lives at Queensridge. I would say there is a pretty large difference between the two properties. One Queensridge is very very fancy, everything is top class. The condo's are very large, with great views, individual garages, elevators that open into your unit.
When I have taken friends over there, I ask them to imagine the fanciest place, after they leave there, it always is above their expectations.
That being said, it is very expensive, and the HOA monthly fees for the larger unit was equivalent to my monthly rent at Turnberry towers. Go to the sales office and check them out.

A couple of years ago, the wife and I checked it out. We drove up and saw the gate open so we drove in and looked the models. IIRC they started at $750K but they have every option and they are sweeetttt. Great views of the area and Badlands Golf Course.

So then we are driving out and we get to the gate and this kid security guard stops us and berates us saying we ran the gate and wants my name for his "report". I told him nicely but firmly that he wasn't getting jack and to open the gate right away or he would have more issues than just a gate runner. Needless to say he just turned and opened the gate.

Wife and I still crack up at that one.

i wouldn't even consider them in the same league, as mentioned for the reasons above. fit, finishes, amenities, and location are all better for one queensridge.

Figured so. Just havn't actually been inside any of the units, or lobby for that matter.

Looking at pictures online though.....damn, that's how to live in style.

Time to drive to Cali to play the lotto
