Here's an article from the Sunday Travel Section of the Miami Herald. Although this is obviously geared toward tourists visiting Vegas, I thought it would be of interest to the forum readers here.

10 favorite things to do in Las Vegas - Travel - MiamiHerald.com (http://www.miamiherald.com/2011/02/20/2070168/10-favorite-things-to-do-in-las.html - broken link)#

One of the items was to have dinner at the Golden Steer on Sahara. I'm not familiar with the restaurant, but it's something I'll have to try next time I'm out that way. Its gotten a lot of good reviews on yelp.

Golden Steer - Las Vegas, NV

Hi,

Nice Post! I totally agree with you. It is really interesting. One more thing i would like add in the post is to dinner at your favourite restaurant with your loved ones. I have also heard a lot about Golden Steer. There are so many positive reviews about it.

Anyways thanks for sharing such a nice and interesting topic with us.

Golden Steer is a place you have to go once, to try it, but I have my doubts that you will return. You do need to experience the atmosphere, as it is unique (older waiters in tuxedos making Cherries Jubilee tableside), but the quality of their steaks is not comparable to that of the best steakhouses on the strip. I had dinner at Craftsteak recently (Tom Colichio's restaurant) and I didn't think the bone-in ribeye there was as good as at Delmonico Steakhouse. I haven't been to Stripsteak, but since I've eaten at so many Michael Mina restaurants and the quality of food has been consistent, I expect that I would find the steaks at Stripsteak to be fine.

Yes, but only steal chips. It's not the same as stealing money ...is it?

How about Gallagers at NY NY. Have eaten there before and excellent service and food especially when I got a Comp for $200.00 to eat there.

I go to buffet@asia on Sahara every week or so. Nice buffet, lots of seafood.
Think lunch is around $7,50 or so. Ends at 3.45, I was there at 3.50 yesterday so had to pay dinner price *aaargh*
So if you wanna have a cheap early dinner, go there just before lunch ends.
I would recommend this place btw, it's at Sahara across from the BMW dealer
