Oh no, I'm pretty sure ours aren't as good as New York's MBA.

We have a Cox phone, internet, cable TV bundle. With the exception that digital always has problems analog didn't, we get good service. (Of course TV stations used to go off the air a lot, and also lose their microwave signals from the networks, but that's another story). Any technical problems or complaints we've had with Cox have been handled immediately, and I love the internet speed. Phone saves me a lot of money too. I have an inborn hatred of cable TV from dealings with cable companies when I worked in local TV stations, but it's love-hate since I need all 7,000+ channels I guess.
Buzz...what is the cost for the bundle...after all the initial promo offers wash out? Just workin on the retirement budget here...thx!

We have ComCast in our area offering a bundled deal and it is $99 a month but only for one year. After that, in the fine print, I think it's more like $200 a month and why I never signed on with it. It would be nice to get everything bundled together, including cell phone if they could do it, but depending on price. I have to worry about retirement budget too and am especially worried about high electricity costs if I have to run AC all day long but that's something different.

Default Yup..

Sheryl, retirement planning has certainly changed from the original concept. Of course, what would life be without change?? It's the only thing we can count on!!

About $180 a month for the phone line with all the bells and whistles, HDTV and 7 million other channels we never watch, plus two, count em', two, internet modems. The XYL has to have her own internet connection for working remotely. Cox advertises the 30-30-30 plan, but after about three months it goes way up. Considering my history with cable TV I'm kind of ashamed to give them the time of day, ...but I'm spoiled.

Thanks for the honesty. That's what I'm looking for. My "retired" coach hubby would go into a serious depression without his live sports channels, or else I would opt out of tv entirely. Compromise is the word. As I am sure he has compromises he makes for me.
