Hey everyone, just wanted to introduce self here on the Las Vegas forum.

I have been lurking for a short while and found a great wealth of information and sharing on the LV forum. My girlfriend and I are moving in early May to the Henderson area.. exact place yet unknown (more on that later)

We're coming from the Indiana area and eager to be able to enjoy a better quality of life. After careful selection in where to live and set up camp in moving west, we decided on Henderson.

Initially we are looking at renting a home/condo/apartment in the area, probably in the 89012 area.. Narrowing down choices at this point, and will be mining data for nailing down an exact place here in the next few weeks. (suggestions on apartment complexes in the area appreciated- right now the Equestrian On Eastern is the one of choice, but she seems to lean towards a house or condo in the area.

With that in mind, opinions welcomed, and I look forward to sharing with you guys!

TM

I don't live in Vegas, but almost moved there several years ago. I looked at those apts on Eastern and they were real nice and in a good area. Plenty of shoppng in the area with a hospital right down the road.

Hi! Moved from MI to LV...first place was the Equestrian. I actually really liked it. Liked the location a lot! Eastern gets a bit congested at times, but I never had a problem with it. The area is very nice. Went walking all the time through the subs and such. Never had a problem with mgmt at the apt. I had an upper corner unit, so noise was not bad. Pools were great and never crowded.

This was 3 years ago, so I don't know about now. Good luck!!! (I have since purchased a home in Centennial Hills and I love it!)

Thanks Kimba! The location appears really prime from google mapping. Lots of shops we enjoy now, and close to her future employer, and to McCarran for me. Appreciate the feedback on that!
