Since you don't get it, I will go ahead and explain. The fact that you a grown man and were about to physically assault a child for only asking you for money makes you a true (fill in the blank). Enough said

I don't get angry when people ask me for money. If I can spare it, I do. I guess I operate under the idea that I have been blessed and if someone needs something bad enough to ask, then I'm glad to help. However...I don't hand out large amounts of money...and if I can and feel safe I will buy someone a meal.

When I was younger I remember driving in the rain and we saw a homeless man out on the side of the road shivering. My younger brother insisted that we stop and pick him up...my parents were reluctant, but they stopped and asked if he needed a ride. We took him to a shelter. I remember the grateful look on his face...and another time when I saw a man looking through the garbage in front of a store looking for food. He would look around and stop if anyone came near...so fearful. I ran to a fast food place and got him some food. When I handed him the meal...our eyes made contact...he had the bluest eyes...and for a moment I saw a glimmer of dignity, a sense of worth. When I returned to my car my eyes were wet and I sobbed feeling the moment.

These experiences have always stayed with me. I don't care if a small percentage are druggies, ungrateful, rude, or scammers. They are still human beings and are not living a dignified life by begging.

You guys should have came out to the Veterans Stand down Wed and Thursday. Great turn out for homeless veterans and at risk veterans. The sad part was that at least 20% of the vets that showed up were my age or younger. Im 30 by the way. Makes be fell very blessed to be where I am in life.

Dudes have GOT to get out of Vegas. There are many places with just as low a cost of living, its easy to get roommates when your under 30 lowering costs even more, have better rates of employement, and still have access to veterans services. No reason to stay in Vegas if you're young, single, and unemployed.

One common reason for moving to Las Vegas is veterans services. I have dealt with two clients coming from CA to Vegas on their belief that veterans service were much better than anywhere in CA.

Note that I am not claiming it is true as I have no way to tell. But that is what these veterans thought.

The VA hospital on base plus the new one that is being built up near the 215 is another incentive for vets to relocate here.

It's sad that we are discussing veterans/VA in a thread about beggars.
