I was hoping someone would be able to give me some quick insight into the MGM hiring process. I have looked through the city-center thread which helped give an overview but since most people were interviewed way before city-center was open the timing is obviously much different.

I have been on three interviews with the MGM Grand and took my drug test last week on Friday. From reading in another thread, I know that things tend to run slow over there but I was wondering if anyone had some sort of time frame as to when they heard back after their drug test, since it seems like they wait to do job offers until after background and drug testing.

Thanks!

*note* I accidentally posted this in the employment forum first.

you will not get an official offer until the results have come back.

if you have not received a 'dear jon' email, you are still being considered.

i know that doesn't really help, but that's the way it is.

having a happy thought for ya though....

A couple of years ago, I went through the process when MGM controlled Primm Valley Golf Club. It took about 2-3 months after everything before I got a job offer but I was working in my business full-time at that point so I declined the offer.

Things move very slowly for them and the frustrating part is that you can only apply for one position at a time (at least it was that way back then).

But Mother Goose pays in golden eggs compared to some of the other fairy tale operators around town.

the suck part is if another better ob shows up on the mgm site, you can not apply for it if you want to keep the original application valid.
